About Luckiest Light and Our Mission
The Luckiest Light Corp is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower artists with disabilities through a vibrant and inclusive creative space that fosters artistic expression, personal growth, and community connection. We provide comprehensive supportive services, innovative wellness programs, and diverse opportunities to inspire, uplift, and amplify the unique voices and talents of our artists, enriching lives and transforming communities.
ABOUT US
Mom, Dad, Nora, and Isaac
We are a family forever changed by Down Syndrome. When our daughter Nora was prenatally diagnosed, our world stopped for a moment. We were overwhelmed by uncertainty and questions about what the future would hold. Within days, everything became beautifully clear: Nora needed two loving parents willing to love her.
From the moment she entered our lives, Nora transformed the way we see the world. She taught us that every person is worthy of love, dignity and accessibility. Her light became the inspiration behind everything we would later create.
Her younger brother Isaac has grown up loving Nora with a tenderness and authenticity that continually moves us. He makes her laugh, protects her fiercely, and loves her without condition or hesitation. Watching their bond has shown us the kind of compassion the world desperately needs a love rooted not in expectations, but in acceptance, and joy.
Together, Nora and Isaac inspired the vision for Isaac’s aNORAble Home (Airbnb) and eventually The Luckiest Light Nonprofit. What began as a deeply personal journey became a mission: to build spaces where individuals of all abilities are valued, celebrated, and given opportunities to shine.
The Luckiest Light was born from the belief that every person carries creativity, purpose, and beauty within them, and that art has the power to reveal what the world too often overlooks.
Today, every artist who walks through our door reminds us why this mission matters. The gallery is not simply a place to display artwork; it is a place where people are seen, heard, encouraged, and loved.
Nora’s light continues to guide us, and through The Luckiest Light, we hope that light reaches countless others.
